This six bedroom family home designed by the award winning architect Harrison Sutton Partnership included a large vaulted ceiling over the kitchen dining area. It also combined traditional sash windows with more contemporary bi folding doors and detached annex space, courtyard and garage. THE PIG at Harlyn Bay opened in 2020. Our team built the new stable accommodation, the kitchen extension on the main house and completed various landscaping and stone works within the grounds including restoring the 17th Century gate posts and Dovecote. It was essential to ensure the Grade II* building met all requirements set out by English Heritage the new buildings were sympathetic to their surroundings and appear as if they have always been there.

Atlanta is situated in a prime clifftop location overlooking the beach in Trevone Bay, just a few miles from Padstow. The Victorian building underwent an extensive 10 month renovation project complete with new vaulted roof structure, timber windows & doors throughout. The interiors, kitchens and bathrooms were all designed by Alkenby. These properties are now available on a self-catering basis bookable via atlantatrevonebay.com

The Net Loft is located just a stones throw away from Trevone Beach and has views of the infamous blow hole from the kitchen, dining and sitting area. This is a complete new-build project, with a slate-hung frontage and vaulted ceiling. The property two bedrooms, two bathrooms but with cinema room, outdoor bath and private parking. Completion is anticipated for Summer 2023.

An interesting opportunity to convert this parcel of land with dilapidated garage situated within Wadebridge town centre overlooking the bridge. Alkenby and BZR worked together on conceptual designs for a café, shop, office and self catering accommodation. The project is currently subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.

Nestled on the side of a steep valley, this project is block built and completely clad in beautiful local stone combining the perfect blend of a traditional barn and a contemporary home. Specialist glass was used to create a minimalist look and frameless aesthetic. The Zinc roof and invisible gutters also aid the crisp lines of the property and focus on the craftsmanship of the stone exterior.

ST NEWLYN EAST

Originally on this site sat an old coach house which was later replaced with an industrial unit. We carefully dismantled this and re-built it on another site for a local farmer before replacing it with this characterful cottage, built of local granite stone from Castle-an-Dinas quarry. It has a country feel, even though it’s just a few miles from the sea. The project took 12 months to complete.

WADEBRIDGE
Commercial Building
Status: Completed
One of Wadebridge’s most historic and handsome buildings underwent a huge renovation. It is one of the oldest and arguably the most prominent buildings in the town centre. Originally a large green grocers warehouse and more recently offices and an arcade of shops. The building required a new roof, structural works and complete replacement glazing. All five luxury apartments were sold prior to completion.

PADSTOW
Renovation & Extension

Located in the old town of Padstow is this beautiful Grade II listed cottage. Alkenby has been working with the new owners to extend the property and alter the roof structure by sympathetically adding a dormer window and a copper clad single story extension to the rear. The landscaping externally will also be designed, improved and project managed our team here at Alkenby.
